General Information 

Located in Lin Wang, Haitang District, Bingcun village school was built in 1960s. As the only school in Mango Village, Sanzao Village and several villages nearby, the school has 9 teachers and 31 students in total at present. All students at different ages are having classes together. The villages are suffering poverty, and far away from economy center, which in the meanwhile lead to poor education resources. Bingcun village school is very limited in teacher resources and educational facilities. Aimed at bringing those children a brighter future with a better understanding of the outside world, Shangri-La Sanya has built up closely connection with the school and provided continuous support to them. Four projects launched so far:

• Education Project
  Set up school library with proper environment and tables & chairs; Hotel staff to give voluntary English class to the students regularly; coordinate with Sanya Teacher's Academy Institute on necessary courses needed for this school; further assist the teachers in English Learning by our colleagues
• Care Project
  Hold Students' Visit to Hotel (Children’s Day and Christmas Lighting Ceremony); Organize Annual School Summer Holiday Party
• Health & Safety Project
  Give Hygiene & Health Lessons to the students; raise Fire Safety Awareness; Provide Nutrition Breakfast monthly
• Facilities upgraded Project
  Improve sports equipment; set up wiring and connectivity at the school computer classroom; Upgrade washroom facilities; Decorate and painting the classroom

On February 26, 2016, SLHN launched the 1st embrace CSR activity in Bingcun village school.

2017年5月19日に、シャングリ・ラ三亜リゾート＆スパの13名のボランティアがリゾートのマスコットのルーフーとともに、月1回のイベントとして、ビングカンヴィレッジスクールを訪れ、朝食を持参し、生徒達とダンスやエクササイズをし、学校の教師に3月からのプロジェクトであるコンピュータースキルを教えました。招待された地元の交通警察隊が、ビングカンヴィレッジスクールの生徒達に、道路の安全性に関する話をしました。
